Sandboxing
Sandboxing runs software in a restricted environment so it can only reach the files, accounts, and systems it has been allowed to use. It limits the damage if something goes wrong.
Also known as: sandbox, sandboxed
A sandbox separates a program from the rest of a computer or network. For AI agents, sandboxing controls what the agent can read, change, or send, which matters when the agent has access to email, messages, or files.
Sandboxing protects you only when it is switched on and set up for the task, so it is worth checking the default settings of any agent you install.
